Welcome to Kilgore Primary!

We are excited your student will be attending our school this year! It is the 10th year in our beautiful building, and we can’t wait to show you around!

I am very excited to begin my first year as Principal at Kilgore Primary School.  The 2023-2024 school year will be my 28th year as an educator.  Throughout my career I have taught Head Start through 3rd grade, reading intervention, and I was also a middle school counselor. I love the primary age group of children.  We are able to have a lot of fun while building a solid foundation with our students.

I have been one of the Assistant Principals at KPS for the last 4 years.  I hold an Associate of Arts from Kilgore College, a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Tarleton State University.

My husband, J.P., and I have two sons.  Our oldest son, Landon, just received a Master of Business Administration from UT Tyler, and now works in Addison.  Our youngest son, Jackson, is a sophomore at Harding University where he also plays football.

As your principal, it is important to me that everyone that steps through our doors is excited to be here! We are ready to learn and grow in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. We will do whatever it takes to see your child be successful. I am looking forward to another wonderful year at KPS!
